Chicken Cordon Bleu - Crock Pot

Back to Proteins

Serve over hot cooked noodles, topped with the cooking sauce.  Don't forget to remove the toothpicks!

Ingredients:

6 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, about 3 pounds, total
6 thin slices ham
6 slices Swiss cheese
1 can cream soup, like mushroom, chicken or celery
1/4 cup milk

Procedure:

Using the flat side of a meat mallet, pound the chicken until it is thin.  Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on each and roll up, securing with a toothpick.  Place 3 rolls in the bottom of a large crock pot, in the shape of a triangle and then layer the other 3 rolls on top.  Mix the soup and the milk and pour over the chicken rolls.  Cover and cook on low for at least 4 hours, until the chicken is thoroughly done and no longer pink.
