No salt, but NOT no calorie. Watch your portion size, it is really hard to only eat 1/4 cup ! The melted
margarine can be replaaced with a good quality vegetable oil or peanut oil. The end product is a little greasier to
the touch but still tastes great.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup melted margarine (one with no hydrogenated oil listed in the ingredients)
-spreads termed 'light' will also work
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/2 cup puffed rice
1 cup bite size shredded wheat
1/2 cup small unsalted pretzel sticks
1/2 cup unsalted peanuts
Procedure:
Assemble the cereals, pretzels and nuts and place in a large bowl. Mix the spices into the melted margarine and pour
over the 'Mix', stirring well. Pour onto a large baking sheet and spread out evenly. Bake at 250 F for about an
hour, stirring at least twice. This crisps up the mix and it tastes great warm or you can place in a tightly sealing
container and store.
