Back to Herbs and Seasonings

Subtle seasoning combined with either brown or white long grain rice makes a great comfort food.  Great to give as a gift if you fancy up the container a bit and give instructions for preparing the soup.  Both Wylers and Hormel (Herb-Ox) make a sodium free granulated bouilion, which is what the nutrition analysis is based on.

Ingredients:

2 cups uncooked long grain brown or white rice (cooking times will vary)
1/2 cup sodium free chicken bouillon granules
4 tsp dried tarragon
4 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp ground black pepper

Procedure:

Combine all ingredients and mix well.  Store in a tightly sealed container in a cool dry place.
