Zesty Seasoning

Zesty Seasoning

This makes about 4 Tbsp of seasoning, enough for 4 to 6 generous sprinkles over steamed green beans, chopped fresh tomatoes or added to spahetti sauce to zest it up a bit.

Great for gift giving, too.  The recipe doubles or triples easily.

Ingredients:

1 tsp ground fennel seed
1 tsp dried cracked rosemary
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 Tbsp dried parsley, crumbled
1 Tbsp dried basil, crumbled
1 Tbsp dried oregano, crumbled
1 tsp garlic powder

Procedure:

Assemble and combine all seasonings, mixing well.  Store in an airtight spice jar.

To use;

1 Tbsp to 2 cups chopped tomatoes or 4 cups spaghetti sauce.  Sprinkle about 1 Tbsp over hot cooked green beans.
