Spicy BBQ Rub

Use smoked paprika to add some extra spice, or keep it mild by omitting the cayenne papper.  Use about 1 Tbsp per pound of meat (chicken,pork, beef, bison or lamb0 rubbed in to the surface just prior to grilling.

Ingredients:

1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp splenda
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp thyme
1/4 tsp sage
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 tsp ground cayenne pepper

Procedure:

Combine and whir in blender/food processor or coffee grinder.  Makes about 5 Tbsp.  Store in an airtight glass jar, away from direct sunlight.
