Quick Personal Pizza Crust

No yeast, no waiating.  Add your own favorite toppings, this makes 2 -71/2 inch

pizza crusts or one 15 inch pizza crust.  The crust is lightly baked before you

add the toppings, and it has that 'biscuit' flakiness.

Ingredients:

1cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup hot water
1 1/2 tsp lemon juice
1 Tbsp liquid egg substitute or beaten egg yolk

Procedure:

Have your favorite toppings ready and available.  Preheat oven to 450 F.  Combine flour and baking powder and mix well.  Stir in shortening, hot water, lemon juiice and beaten egg yolk, stirring and mixing until the sides of the bowl are almost clean and the dough is balling up.  Divide into 2 equal portions if 2 small crusts are desired, or roll or pat out to one larger crust.  Place on an ungreased baking sheet, prick all over the top with a fork or toothpick to keep the dough from puffing up.   Bake for 6 to 8 minutes or until lightly golden.  Remove from oven, add toppings and bake another 5 to 10 minutes and pizza (s) is/are bubbly.

Serving Size:
2 personal or 1 small pizza crust
