Seasoned 'Salt'

Back to Herbs & Seasonings

Seasoned 'Salt' #1

This makes great 'steak fries', hash browns or even potato salad

I put this all together in the coffe grinder/blender/food processor and whir until it is a fine powder.

Ingredients:

1tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp thyme, crushed
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp celery seed
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp ground cayenne pepper (optional)
1 tsp gound mustard
1 tsp dried lemon zest or granules, crushed or ground coarsely

Procedure:

Mix well or shake to mix in a zipper plastic bag,  Store in an airtight glass jar, out of direct sunlight.  Use wherever you would use that famous name brand seasoning.

Variation - use smoked paprika instead of paprika for a spicier taste

Serving Size:

3 Tablespoons

Large Batch
2 Tbsp garlic powder
2 Tbsp onion powder
2 Tbsp thyme
1 Tbsp ground cumin
1 Tbsp celery seed
4 Tbsp paprika
2 Tbsp ground black pepper
1 Tbsp ground cayenne pepper (optional)
2 Tbsp ground mustard
2 Tbsp lemon zest
