Back to Proteins

From my mother's kitchen drawer collection of recipes, this is a great appetizer.  If you are watching fat and sodium, substitute low fat sour cream for the mushroom soup and ground turkey for the ham

Ingredients:

2 cups packaged biscuit mix
1/2 cup milk
2 cups cooked ham, ground or put in the food processor
5 Tbsp undiluted cream of mushroom or celery soup

Procedure:

Combine biscuit mix and milk, turn out onto a lighly floured surface and knead for a few seconds.  Divide into 2 equal pieces and roll or pat each into a 5 x 12 inch rectangle.  Spread each with the ham/soup mixture and roll up on the long side, like a jelly roll.  Lightly spray 2 baking sheets with non stick baking spray.  Cut ham rolls into 1/2 inch thick slices and place , closely together, on the baking sheets.  Bake at 400 F for about 15 minutes or until lightly golden.  Serve hot.
